Send me a rainstorm of your presence

Lord, send me a rain storm!  Psalm 119:9-11

Each day I take the time to feed my physical body with food. I do this a few times per day so that I will have energy and so that my body can function properly.  Many times food gives us all a sense of satisfaction. We eat with the purpose of celebration and building a relationship with others. Sharing a meal promotes sharing our lives with others.

If my plans are to get back on the path that God has for me, I need make some adjustments to my life. Just as I depend on food for my natural body, I need to feed my spirit with supernatural food by spending time meditating on His Word. His word will energize me and it is the only thing that will satisfy the deep longings of my soul. God desires to have an interactive relationship with me and I need to be willing and allow this to happen.

I need a stronger appetite for God - what about you!

Dear Lord,
Make me hungry and thirsty for your word and spending time with you. Show me how to fall in love with you. Teach me how to love you the way you deserve to be loved. Fill me with more of you ~ Send me a rainstorm of your presence.

Amen!

Rainstorm

6/15/15

Have you ever planned a special road trip to a place that you just couldn't wait to get to? If you are anything like me you would plan every step from point A to point B. We have searched out the hotels, rest stops and all the points of interests. Driving along we can somehow start out great but somewhere in the middle a wrong turn is taken and we end up hopelessly lost.

Our Christian walk can be just like that. We have made plans for our eternal life with God by accepting Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. Of course we are not sure when we will get there but we know that we will get there someday.Galatians 5:7 says it like this "You were running a good race. Who cut in on you to keep you from obeying the truth". We start out seeking God, reading the bible regularly, praying for ourselves and others, growing, allowing the Holy Spirit to change us and fill us and then it happens - we take the wrong turn and find ourselves lost and empty.

My cry  today is for God to redirect my path. I have found myself in a place where I feel lost and empty . My soul is thirsting for the living God. Thirsty. God send me a rainstorm to cleans me and fill me with the power of the Holy Ghost.

Psalm 63:1 Oh God, You are my God; I shall seek you earnestly; My soul thirsts for you, my flesh yearns for you, in a dry and weary land where there is no water.

Psalm 143:6 I stretch out my hand to you as a parched land.

Hear my cry Lord and send me a rainstorm!!
